Some kind of fly–What am I?

Lovely colours in the wings, bit on the soft side but

All I know is that he is very small the bud he is sitting on is just under 1/16 in.Jim
Nice capture Dave. I don’t think mine is a hover fly though.
It looks more like a mini Bee.There’s a few different varieties. They look like wasps and kinda fly like them too.

I found it . Toxomerus politus, an uncommon to rare type of Syrphid fly. This one is approx 5-6mm and female.Thanks for the tip.
