    These colourful little things are impossible to get near around our parts. Couldn’t get a good shot until I got my hide.

    Really like these. First one is very sharp, looks good in the dappled shade on the stump.

    Thanks folks. Really chuffed with the male shot. It’s made the hide purchare worthwhile.

    Have to agree with you Joe these shots really do justify splashing out on some extra equiptment. Brilliant shots love the colours you don’t really notice them when these little guys are flying around up above but these pics really make me want to take more notice of the finches in my back garden. According to my mum (who loves finches) we have tons of them sitting in the garden everyday chattering away.
