Thanks for all the great comments, im very humbled. These shots were taken around 1987-89 when I was doing a project for sligo VEC ” Faces and Places” I kept some of the negs I developed. They have been stored away since then only taken out in the last week, since I only came back to photography at xmas after a break of 15 yrs.
they were taken with a Pentax K1000 with a 50mm and 24mm lens, The first 2 available light with a little PS when scanned. the 3rd one jess I had to blur the background to create the DOF because the background was very distracting a bit of curves, burn and dodge. PS was used to enhance them, there was no way I could do back then what I can do now in PS.( dust scratch’s crop) I have a few more so if ye like I will put some up.

    Thanks again Joe

Yes please Joe, we’d love to see some more…

Like jb7, I’m captivated entirely by the third of these. I’ve looked back over them
several times today with nothing but admiration, but that third one really does take
the cake. Not only is your composition absolutely perfect, but the lady’s expression
makes it the money shot. I’d have believed you if you’d told us that this was posed,
and that it took at least thirty frames to nail it. Congratulations on an excellent set.
Post some more of your old ones soon…

These really are a cracking set.. I agree with the comments on third one but it is ithe first that gets my vote.

My definition of a good shot is:

“Do I want to look at it again?”
“Do I wish I’d taken it”?

    …er… Yes and yes..

Hey, I love all them. But I really love the first and the second one. :)
