i took this one completely by accident THROUGH my kitchen window. still it looks good.

    a snowy sunset……

i love clouds and the sky and sunsets……this is right after sundown….sky still is pinkish-orange…

to be honest im not really sure what category this one belongs in…..

i know this aint the sky but its landscape….right? :D

its a house just up the road from me…..hope they dont mind….:L

Very nice! I like the first 2-3 especially, because I like the sky a lot as well and there’s not so much of it on the last ones! So that’s why the first two I find very nice!but they are all nice pictures! Good work! :)

Saam, don’t take me wrong on these as any criticisim is given with the best intents. I’m sure they are meaningful to you but it hard for someone else to appreciated them. It’s easy to criticise and harder to say why, so given your enthusiasm, I hope I can give you some useful feedback…

#1: The cloud textures and shades are interesting, but little else. The area around the sun is overbright, which is always hard to get right.
#2: The purpose of the shot is not clear. The foreground is not really visible and the sky doesn’t jump out. There is nothing to hold a viewer’s interest.
#3: Not a bad shot, the intersection of the road and fence in the bottom left works well. The horizon is on a third. The sky has cloud and colour interest. Its missing some punch which could be done simply by brightening and saturating it more. The tree on the left is begging to be a bigger part of the composition – if it could have been neared the left vertical third it would have added to the shot and given less of the bush to the right. Tunring the camera a little to the left would have helped this shot a lot.
#4: This is the best of the bunch. Its sets a scene and the road invites the viewer to contemplate the distance. I’d have been tempted to include more of the right side of the road, brighten it and increase the saturation.
#5: This is just a shot of a house, with the main part of it partially blocked at that.
