    Taken with my new id mark111 getting the camera set up took a lot of reading as my main camera was the 7d comments welcome

    The reason I asked is because it looks like it is front focussing a little. If you notice the ball is more in focus than the players. You can fix this using the microadjustment on the 1DMkiii so it should be spot on then.

    How do i do this in the camera and just when this lens is on

    You’re going to have to google it I’m afraid. It’s pretty easy to do once you’ve read the procedure and the camera saves the settings and only applies them to the 300mm so it doesn’t affect any other lenses. Ideally you should do it with all of your lenses so that they are all spot on and the camera only applies the calibrated settings to whichever lens is attached.
    You can get Canon to do it for you too but they will charge well for it so you might as well do it yourself.
