Number one is an old one – taken in 1990 with my Pentax SFXn 35mm SLR. B&W film used. Just recntly scanned the negative.
The band is “GO!” from NYC, playing in Dublin. Slow shutter speed, panning, click and flash. It’s not as clean and sharp as the original pic – I need a better negative scanner!
Number two is more recent. Taken with my current Pentax K-10D DSLR. Finally moved to digital in 2009!
The band is “Betrayed” from Seattle, USA playing in Dublin. I’m pleased with this capture – the interaction between band and audience !
I still like the way film captures the feel of a gig, though I appreciate the flexability of digital. I’d be interested to hear others views on film vs digital.
