Anyone know where I can get some IR film (B&W)? I’ve called around to a few camera shops but had no luck except for one in Galway that said I’d have to buy in bulk. Bah!

I’m not at the bulk buying stage yet – just need 5 – 10 rolls for a summer project.

    Thanks,

    Vinny.

    Hi Vinny,

I got SFX 200 in Gunns as Martinn suggested.

I got a bundle of 3 rolls and a deep red filter for the Cokin P holder.

I found Gunns very helpfull, they will post out no problem.

There is nowhere in Galway that will process it though, that will
    have to be Gunns again.

Ilford’s SFX film is the easiest of the IR films to start with and can give very good IR effects with the SFX filter in the right conditions. I’d recommend any IR beginner to give it a go.

    Thanks guys.

I just called Gunn’s and ordered their last 2 (at present) rolls of Ilford SFX. 9 euro each and 2.70 to post them out. I have my deep red filter so I’m good to go …if the weather cooperates.

    Thanks again,

    Vinny.
