What’s going on? Annoying buggers!
What about a temporary close on joining the forum? Or having to contact admin before joining?

Maybe new comers should validate an email or a question ar type in a series
of random numbers and letters or something.I agree. They are such a bunch of losers. Give them a question which requires some intelligence to answer.ie 1+1=? or a validating e-mail.

There is a question to validate, but chances are they’re manually registering.
I’ve changed the question and will see what happens next…It’s strange that it suddenly started up this weekend.
Haven’t noticed much of it since I joined in March.
Must be very difficult to police and probably even harder to stop. :x

I was off on hols for the week and came back to see all the spam members.
Thankfully Steve had moved the posts.The question that was there kept them off the site for around 2.5 years, hopefully

Spammers are one thing but there have been a couple who look genuine – one had asked a question on how to get to XRumor which is a way of boosting Google rank of that site if you were to reply with the answer. They’re getting more intelligent, or crafty of late.

when I first moved to Ireland I wanted to learn irish.
then a friend (irish) asked me why in hell I wanted to do that :DJeez, right they’re back again, so all new members will have to be activated by myself first.
I need to do something ‘again’ about php 3.0…
We should spam them back :D A friend of mine did that some time ago when the company he worked for kept getting spam. He flooded them with all kinds of rubbish ads.
