    Nice. Very nice indeed.

It’s a pity that the bottom left corner doesn’t match up a little more with the bottom right corner – there’s a little too much darker area there, I think. The lines formed by the waves to either side of the “spine” even look a little like a rib cage.

Good image, and the title is appropriate too.

Know what you mean about the imbalance in the corners, the water was more prominent on the RHS for some reason thus making it brighter, whilst what you see on the left is mainly sand and pebbles.

You’re the second person who commented on the title, another over on Flickr where the image is posted.

I’m quite pleased with this one myself… turned out way better than the original image I had in my head at the time of taking.

    Thanks again

Very good work, John. It’s a play with symmetry and imbalance… even the straight line of the “spine” is broken. I love it, came back about three times to look at it, and I am still wishing I could see it in a much larger size… much much larger.

    Cheers Z to the B.

If I ever get around to printing stuff we’ll do a print swap sometime.

Yeah, like it. It almost looks like an x-ray. Thought you “didn’t get” this sort of stuff? Some good stuff…can’t wait until you do get it!

Thought you “didn’t get” this sort of stuff?

Did I say that? Don’t recall saying so… not denying it either though.

A crop maybe. Take out the bottom 25-33%. The top portion is lovely, coming from nowhere and as mentioned above the dark corner and visible pebble detail in the bottom take from it a bit. Impressive image all the same

Thanks Cookster & Wonka, and everyone else.

Just giving this a bump for PI Groyne Fever Week.

    Hi John,

You’re keeping us busy today. No work is being done at all.

    This is excellent.

Did you have this up before. I have a recollection of seeing it before?
Maybe just a dream or premonition?

    Cheers.

    John.
