Hi,
Just messing with an old water tank dropping various objects into it. By no means cracked it yet but got some good results so far.
Appreciate any C&C
1 Lemon & Lime
2. Apple
Setup
f11 1/160th
430exii pointing into the tank 1/8th power
2 x Yongnuo 460ii flashes lighting from either side at the front
Canon wireless system, wasn’t using any triggersThe 70-200 set at about 100mm, with a little mod to stop some flares
sndipoMemberI like it, great idea! Wish the apple wasn’t cropped at tight though, would look better if it was taken like the lemon&lime picture, a bit wider, in my opinion. Still great stuff and I reckon the lighting is hard to get right but I think it works nicely. Maybe to be picky, the lemon looks a bit too dark in the middle, would like to see more pure yellow but it works for the lime due to the stalky bit.. Just to pick at it but still very well done! I’d be pleased with them! :)

Cheers for the comments, agree with the apple shot and it’s not cropped so I have no wriggle room unfortunately :!:
shutterbugParticipantI think they look great, I was trying this myself recently and didnt get anything
near as good, I only had a plastic tank and it wasnt really big enough, great results :)voicuParticipanti like the fact that you described the whole exercise, fair play to you, it’s a good lesson for whoever is interested in.
the results are pretty good (especially the apple) but one has to try a lot until gets it perfect so…keep going!
well done!Green MeanieParticipantAnother couple from tonight, that’s it I’m putting the stuff away :D

connieParticipantLurve the second apple set! This is something I want to have a go at, but like Jenny not got a container big enough yet. Another thing that would make this interesting is using soda/ fizzy water :)
