I was looking at this last night at home Peter and liked it but I thought it may have looked a little bright. I have my work monitor darkened in work and tend not to comment on images given they are not what the creator intended but this one does look great darker.
I’d agree with the Narnia look and also the crop but why not try dropping the lightness a little for the crack!

Thanks for the comments. I think it’s on the verge of being too dark on my calibrated display – is your monitor at home calibrated?

On my visible light camera, the 12-24 focuses fine. The IR camera has had its AF system tweaked to autofocus accurately in the infra-red (if an image is in focus in visible light, it won’t be in IR, hence the need for tweaking).
The 24-70 focuses well in IR, but the 12-24 doesn’t seem to. I’m not sure if this is because the AF system is failing it (it does get calibrated to a 50mm standard) or if the lens just is a poor resolver in IR (also a possibility). I’m going to make some calibrated tests later on with a tripod and manual focus to see if I can iron it out.
Thanks for the rest of the comments all, nice to see it got such a good reception. I wasn’t sure about it (comes from living right by there and seeing it every day, I guess).
