This is very nice, I’m surprised it hasn’t received more comments:
Composition is good, you clearly took the time to align the lighthouse with the horizon, and the roof of the lighthouse forms a lovely silhouette. The colours are great, the colour of the sea agrees very well with that of the sky and you have done well to distinguish the sea from the foreland…
I agree nice colours in the sky and sea holds it well. Composition wise, the foreground doesn’t do it for me and I would have been tempted to crop some of the bottom as there is little interest
I disagree with above…..foreground is dark, but the photo loses balance if it is cropped out, as it stands horizon is in the mid-point of the shot and it looks good there……just my opinion.
I’m a complete novice, and this photo is from my first photographic ‘expedition’ so it is most interesting to hear the critique.
My intention was to have the horizon bisect the image, and the lighthouse alignment was deliberate.
The area is a tad messy with ‘stuff’ in the foreground, so ‘as taken’ I was happy to leave the foreground as-is, plus I haven’t gotten into this editing business yet.
