Ok, I was going for a moody, sorta scary look here!

Did I get my verticals right? :D

It reminds me of the back end of the batmobile-

I think that if you removed a strip from the bottom,
to bring the sky close to the bottom of the frame,
that you’d have a very good shot there-

Scared the bejaysus outta me anyway!

I like what you were thinking with your verticals and all but they all seem to be pointing to one point waaaay of the top of the photograph. This was obviously a wide angle or fisheye type lens…low mm anyway! I don’t mind the angle but the unparallel verticals does take away, in my opinion. Good thought process though or a “happy accident” .

    Thanks Alan and J.

I had to sit on the ground and point the camera up to clear the trees out of the way from the spire. It was taken with the 17mm end of a 17-40 so I knew it was going to go crazy.

Here is a new version as per J’s advice.

oy, i think this might be the church i’ve been trying to identify in some pics that i took…
very nice silhouette, it sets a great mood for this shot.

    Beth,
This church is the far side of the Curragh Camp from the N7, in Kildare.
