not sure about this one…just playing around really….staged macro shot of droplet on blade of grass… sharpness looks a bit off to me… colours had to be tweaked a bit…I think I am missing natural sunlight….
I dunno, I think this is good. Dark and bright in the right areas for me and the water drop looks sharp to me although I’m not looking at it on the best of screens at the minute. Maybe the only improvement I could think of would be to try and capture some sort of reflection in the drop. There was a water drop shot on the site before hthat had the reflection of a flower in the drop (dunno if it was photoshop job or not can’t remember) and it made the image very striking. Maybe trying to catch areflection in this shot would have given t a tiny bit extra impact but I think its a very good shot none the less.
Cheers Brian…. the more I look at it now the more I do like it myself. Yes the reflection is lacking alright but I didn’t really have anything to hand to use for it. I will play around again with this sort of indoor work again…. I did post some others I took today with some better reflections as they were taken outdoors.
Thought i would share this photo with you to show you the set up…. an old photo I took printed on canvas is the background and the grass was pulled fresh from the garden. Water drops placed in place using an eye dropper…
nice to see process and the result :) i like the photo too except the top right hand corner is a bit distracting, there are like three drops that seem to have melded?? i can’t describe it better, sorry!
