Recently picked up a Nikon 300mm F4 . This was one of my first shots with this lens, but I’m finding this lens a lot harder to use than others for some reason. .. My keeper rate is well down so far but suppose that’s the learning curve with each lens?? Any thoughts?

Very nice image Declan, maybe not as sharp as you’d expect from a 300mm prime lens on a monopod. Depending on weather you’re using a cropped camera or not, the shutter speed might not be fast enough which would affect the sharpness of the image.
