Don’t want to sound harsh…might even be the couples preference…but to me that’s 80’s, early 90’s old school frosting at it’s best. Try a not-too dark vignette for a much nicer contemporary feel. Effects should enhance photos not take away from the image…the frosting takes away from an otherwise fine photo, IMO.
Don’t let fashion dictate what works. If the frosting is good it’s good
in any age. I expect someone thought Faberg? eggs were kitsch when
they were being made.
The problem with the effects here is that they are a bit heavily applied in my opinion.
If the centre of the photo retained its full sharpness and saturation, then you’d be close.
If the obvious cut-out line at the top was subtle like the one at the bottom, then you’d
be closer again.
If you want help, then post the original and ask because there are folks here who
could do the necessary and explain how. Not me though :)
