Street photos with a pinhole

    Hi all, i’m new here – 1st impressions are very positive!
    Here’s some recents photos from Limerick, i’ve been experimenting with pinhole photograhpy for a year now, these are done with a hacked pentax mx, 0.15mm hole (beer can). Focal length 16mm, neopan 1600.

    I love experimenting, good for you… A bit more exposure and a bit less development maybe to bring out more ofrom the shadows?

    Fair play to you! Can you post pictures of the camera? I’ve read the theory, but never saw one in practice.

    There’s a pic of the camera at the bottom of this link. This is an excellent forum for pinhole (the link – not here unfortunately).
    I’ve made numerous pinhole/zoneplate cameras from 35mm to 12 x 10″ sheet paper, but this is my favourite. No batteries and it can slip into my jeans pocket and it’ll work in any conditions as there’s no lens to keep clean. I develope the film at home.

    These are handheld – which is a rarity in pinholes – normally the exposures are long.

    Please see my zonpeplate images recently posted in macro and close up – now thats a classy pinhole. Google ‘zone plate’ to find out more.

    I use lenses too but for fun, pinhole is the way to go.
