Streetscape

It’s quite a nice shot of a pretty urban streetscape that happens to have some kids playing in the bottom. However they are too small in the scene and you struggle to find them. For me the main focus is the lovely texture of the walls which dominate the scene and the beautiful light coming over the wall. To make a street shot of this you need to get closer and make the kids the subject of the shot.
Thanks for the comment pullandbang , I will change the name as the shot was about the lane and the light coming through , the kids happened to come running out of the square as i was taking the shot and then hung around as if to stop me getting the shot ,I got fed up waiting and moved on , thanks again its great to hear where your going wrong ..

There’s nothing wrong with your shot.In fact it’s quite a good shot with lovely atmosphere. My point was it is not a Street shot as such.
I like it! Pretty cool shot! And I like the way that the arch frames the kids playing! Well done!
I like this a lot. The light and wall texture is wonderful as pointed out before. The Kids add another element to the shot and keeps your attention on the image that little bit longer than if they were missing.

The change of title worked well with this shot. I love the lighting & how it glances off the walls & paving and you’ve kept good detail in the shadowed areas. The kids add interest to the shot too which would otherwise look very static.
I’m curious, are they bullet holes in the wall (bottom left)? and if so, what’s the history?Hi Miki, they are bomb shrapnel holes , as you go through the arch you come into a small square called Plaza sant felip De Neri , there is a small fountain and a church , during the Civil war a fascist piolt trying to drop a bomb on goverment buildings, Missed and hit the square killing 42 people hideing in the church including 20 children , you can see the damage and church in the photo link below ..
