Absolutely no filters. No trickery, nothing added or taken away. As I said in a previous post, I was quite amazed to see it so big and high and not have to squint. I could look straight at it, even through the 100-400L.I rechecked the exif data and as it happens the shot was taken at f/8

You’d often get the sun like this down in the SE what with cloud/fog, etc in the early morning so I can vouch for Pats comments RAS. It’s an unusual one all the same and the inclusion of the sun spot certainly is a talking point.
