Was looking for ways to improve on above shot when the light changed and suddenly these 3 swans came into view

again this shot was converted from raw no post processing

2 lovely shots I would probably went home after the first but the second really does improve on it amazing the difference in colours. Enjoy the sunset it might be the last anyone from Waterford will see for a while after tonights match. Congratulations to the Waterford team on a great win and match.

Two nice shots Tom! I think I prefer the first shot. The sky in the second one is really nice, but there’s something about the mood I prefer in the first one. Also, the swans don’t look sharp in the second one, and I think that detracts a bit from the image.

You mention that both shots are converted from raw, with no post-processing. Did you do any adjustments in your raw converter before export?

No adjustments whatsoever and yes the swans are not sharp .I was usina a slow shutter speed and they were moving a bit

Two lovely shots with really great skies . If I were to change anything in the first one I would frame the reeds in the foregound to the right in the shot as they are now I feel they draw the eye too much.

I agree with you john, unfortunately at this location there was’nt much foreground interest and without the wellies I could not get a different angle.
I walked around a bit and the swans came over to investigate which helped the second shot

Thanks to all for the comments
