    Hi All,

New to the forum and thought: sure I’d throw in a shot straight away for comments. Mind you, it’s the first shots outside I took with the camera which was a xmas present so still trying to get the hang of it with the whole new world of endless opportunities!

    Hi Trish and welcome!

Nice colors here, but the image size is a little on the small size, I think 800 pixels wide or high is the norm. Composition is nice, but perhaps a little dark in the foreground?

Good stuff and lucky you being there to shoot it!

Hi Trish and welcome to PI
Nice first shot and one to present a big larger if you have it. Lovely looking place and fine colours

Welcome Trish, agree with Des on the foreground, but the colours and silhouettes
are nice, I would crop off the very lower foreground I know you will lose the reflection
of the rushes but I think it looks more balanced, imo.

Thanks all for the feedback and the welcome! I uploaded a bigger version in original post.

Shutterbug: Thanks for the advice on the crop. Tried it and it does make the colours stand out better. However, somehow the curve in the foreground makes it stand out more I think?

    2nd photo is much better,
Love the light and the person in the photo adds to its charm.

    Great opportunity well taken.
