    Hi,

I’m new here. I’m trying to improve my skills and looking for c&c. Below is the picture I’m the most proud of so far. Compared to the other posts here, it doesn’t look that good, though :)

    Hi Ob,

Welcome to PI and I hope you enjoy being
    a member.

    This is a nice image.
    Nice sky.
Good foreground with nice light on the sand.

    Nice start I would say.

    Cheers.

    John.

Edit: Meant to mention that you could make your images a little bigger.
800 pixels on the long side is suggested.
It would definitely make seascapes like this look better on the screen.

    Thanks very much 5faythe.

I actually lazily pointed to the size that was close to 800 pixels in the ones Flickr provided. The full resolution image can be seen here: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2444/3675545101_a3dd48e34a_o.jpg

I’ll find a better match next time.

Hi OB. I really like this shot. Lovely lighting and composition, plus nice clouds and setting sun. My only problem with it is the boat. I find I’m being drawn to it instead of the scene itself. Well done and welcome.

Interesting. I did make sure it was exactly where it is on purpose. In my mind, it brought balance to the picture by being opposite to the sun. But now that you mention it, I can’t take my eyes off it either :)
