Looks very very nice. Can you post a larger version. It’s hard to see everything with this one.

Maybe a bit too big as I had to scroll to see it-
I think it is a cracker, nice foreground and nice detail in the rocks leading right to the sunset.
Maybe a tad too much on LHS

Yeah a lot clearer now. Really great picture. The sun is a tad hard to look at but it doesn’ detract IMO from the rest of thepicture. I’d be very proud to have taken this snap.

Really nice shoot…. but the first thing that caught my eye was the dirt from your sensor, also the commpression can be seen up around the clouds you should maybe re-think your reduction methods.

A little too large to view without scrolling on this monitor, but only
because of the addition of such a hefty frame…

Nice colours and processing, but the sensor dust is a bit of an oversight
and there appears to be something odd going on with those clouds; while
the foreground seems sharp enough, looking at the clouds on their own
you have thought ‘camera shake’. Bizarre…

    Rob.

Rob the clouds look funny either because of the image compression or the image/exposures were not merged correctly and the movement in the clouds between shots is still visable.

sorry to ask this in your thread, but you have to use a filter for shots like these?

It helps but you don’t have to. An ND Grad filter will tone down some of the light from the sun which will result in a more balanced exposure.

BTW: Nice shot – I hear what the lads are saying about the lens dust and the clouds, but the intentions were certainly right.

Very nice sunset shot of my favourite lake, I have visited this area a couple of times and love this lake.

    Well captured.

    Dave.
