Just arrived home from a fantastic 6 day adventure to both Skomer (1 day) & Skokholm (4 days) Islands off the Pembrokeshire coast in Wales. I went in pursuit of a singe sunset or sunrise shot which is impossible in Ireland due to landing and ferry restrictions. There was only one sunset and no sunrises in the 4 days we spent on the Islands. It was ‘arctic’ most of the time. The sky wasn’t ‘perfect’ on my last night – but i’m pretty pleased with these two.

Definitely the first one, lovely tones and I like the fact that the puffin isn’t fully blacked out (as silhouettes normally are).
Think it comes down to having a landscape and not a portrait format..
