    I had to get up at 5 today to drive to the airport… but at least I made it back in time for the sunrise.


    85 seconds at F11 and ISO200. I really need to get me one of those ND grad filters and stop blowing out skies…

    Nice colours in this. I think the foreground rocks are a little dark. If you are to get some Grads then I would recommend, if you can afford it, to get the better Lee’s or Singh-Rays rather than the Cokins. I have the cokins and while they are cheap, there is a reason for this as they produce an awful purple tint when used. Not so bad when you are using ND filters as you can just change the white balance afterwards to allow for it as the entire image is tinged but when using grads only half the image has the purple tint so it makes it harder to rectify the problem.

    I had a look at your flickr site also. Some nice stuff there. I really hope everything works out ok for you. You’re a lot braver man than I would be and you are an inspiration to anyone that is suffering from an illness.
