Not Pete the blokeParticipant
I had a shoot with an aspiring young model yesterday. With little experience, she soon settled into the swing of things and I think we got some great shots. c&c welcome.
Ross
GrahamBParticipantAliParticipantlovely lighting Ross, #2 for me – shadows exactly where you need them :) Expression in #1 is super – just a pity she isn’t looking at you.
RobMemberVery nice Ross. Of the three shots here I’d go mostly for the third,
lovely relaxed pose and super lighting. I’m distracted only a little by the
visible bra strap at the bottom of the picture and wonder if perhaps it
might tolerate a slight crop.
What was the lighting setup for these? Is this your D-Lite 2 set up? I’ve hardly
had any opportunites to really get to use mine yet.Rob.
jb7ParticipantTwo for me ross,
nicely lit, all of them-
Two has a tiny hint of a shadow in the lower right corner,
looks like where you pushed the crop as far as it could go-
Might be worth removing it somehow-j
Not Pete the blokeParticipantThanks for the comments everyone. I see the slight shadow in the bottom right corner of number 2 – it is probably part of the material of her top, so I can crop it in a bit further to remove.
The first one, and this next one, were a result of telling her to let it all go, go a bit crazy for the camera…… I liked the effect it had!Ross
LoGillParticipantNow thats the one for me Ross…
Love the lighting , Fantastic eye contact and expression and the touseld hair works :) even if it is covering one eye ..
Lovely stuff :)

GrahamBParticipantearthairfireParticipantloving the last one. lovely shadows, catchlight and composition. love the unconventional messed up hair look too – great job!
Tim
RobMemberThat last one is gorgeous Ross, great lighting. Amazingly
clear and smooth skin.Rob.
Not Pete the blokeParticipantI would like some feedback on this one please. I did a similar one for a friend of hers, and she wanted to try it at the end of the shoot.
I can’t believe how many good shots I have, from what was only a 2 hour shoot.GrahamBParticipantI like the last one. I’ve seen a lot of these where the model is posed very straight in the shot.
This works well with the model slighlty angled.
Really nice shots and your model really has a future. Very pretty.RobMemberRoss,
Now that’s the one for me. All the shadows are beautifully placed,
the slightly angled composition works exceptionally well, and the skin
texture (in my opinion anyway) looks far more natural in this one than
in all the previous ones which, while they all look amazing, are possibly
‘too’ perfect. Fantastic work Ross. Some beautiful photographs here.
I bet your model is chuffed to bits with all of them.Rob.
mervifwdcParticipantNot my area, but these look great! The crazy one is tops, as the eye is sharpest in it, or has more draw to it at least.
Merv.
AliParticipantLast one is absolutely stunning Ross. Hope you don’t mind me editing but i think the only thing the is stopping this from being a top notch commercial shot is the black area. I filled this with a flower similar to the tones in the shot. Absolutely Super shot Ross.
