Basically i have the Nikon D60 with the standard Nikkor’s 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G lens…….I dont know alot about lenses….but i’ve started studying photography in limerick and i’m anxious to better the zoom on my camera for sports etc.

    Questions are :

Is the Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro 1:2 Lens a good brand lens for my course/photos?

Would i be better off with another brand?

Any recommedations between the budget of €200-300

    Thanks in advance

I’m by no means a pro, but like you Im starting out, everyone seems to advise on getting a 50mm prime and at around 100-150€ new or 60-90€ s/h you cant go wrong !

The prime you refer to is the 1.8…..This will not autofocus on a D60…You would need the substantially dearer 1.4.
