two nicely composed shots, only thing is the double chin which could be corrected in PS or just recompose face upwards.

Nice shots, Personally I dont like to see creases in the backdrops. I would move the models slightly forward and reposition your lights so they are not directly hitting the black background , then just darken the background post take. I would also just tone down the sepia just a notch. Nicely composed though

thanks , phillip! Need to practice PS for face correction…
RASMITH32, thanks for advice! this is cheap nonwoven background and it’s keept in bag in boot of my car so I don’t know how to get rid of creases… also there was no room (exuses, exuses and more exuses :)) but I will do more practice and may be figure out best way to resuce it. Thanks!

I know I feel your pain….oh to have a proper studio. I spend my time cloning out the bed and wardrobes from my portraits!. Its top of the list when my lotto win arrives

I like these shots, nice posing. +1 for the double chin mentioned. But thats just down to the head position.
The shadows are a bit harsh in the first. but both are fairly evenly lit, considering single light source.
I actually like that I can see the wrinkled background in the second, it gives a bit of separation to the couple.
I’d be fairly happy with these if I had taken them.
Which strobe did you get? and are you using a softbox or umbrella?

My setup is fully cheap china ebay versions but with dicent quality (so far I’m happy with they perfomance)
It’s mistake in first message. I used 300W strobe with cont. light in it (was off in this session) through 33″ white umbrella pointed at around 30 degree position and on around 2m hight…

still waiting for my soft box to arrive and today I got my 800W red cont. light unit with barn doors and net (still need to order color filters for it) to light up background or may be give some other light at sides – will se how I will use it.

Next time will try with this unit or may be with another 2 china flashes and umbrellas :) just need to wait to get my holders for them.

More photos to come soon ;)
