That fheckin’ blue car . . .

This country needs a ‘cruelty to photos’ act put into law as soon as possible to have the likes of brendancullen put behind bars.
Welcome to the site Dick – and congrats on your first posting. Pity is was a negative one rather than an inspiring image or dare i say it “constructive criticism”. I hope you don’t join an elite band of shutter shy commentators who sit on the fence with sarcastic eyes and too much free time.
Of course i know the my quick HDR edit was awful – it took a mere 22 seconds of 21st century processing- and apologies to aoluain if he actually thought it was for real. A ‘good eye’ would have quickly realised that dick.
In no way should this site cease to allow editing of pictures. This is such a useful feature so as to demonstrate to others how an image may be enhanced with some editing.
I’m glad JB7 remined me of the word “actuations”.

The shutter button is generally found on the front right hand side. Go on – inspire us all – otherwise i may never get to ‘heaven’

This site does not allow editing of images-
only the photographer can grant that permission.
I’d be happier if those permissions were displayed in the post,
rather than allow the slightest chance of somebody making an assumption that would allow ridiculous ‘enhancements’ like yours. No doubt you will join an elite band of happy commentators who sit on the fence with sarcastic eyes and too much free time.

Must be great to be so busy.

Do you have a point?
Try spelling it out-
I can’t get the message through all those layers of sarcasm.MarkKeymasterGuys,
Back to the topic please !. No critiquing the critique and no digs at people. If people aren’t clear on the rules, please read them.
No excuses.JB – On showing the ‘Edit my pics’ setting in the posts, its not working for some reason. No idea why at the moment. Will look into it.
Thanks
aoluainParticipantthanks for the interest in the photo ! :)
yes now that it has been pointed out the criop is perhaps too tight.
I wanted to post this mainly to get feedback on the car! for me
I didnt mind the car too much even though my thread title states otherwise.i think it gives some degree of scale, but a figure walking by would do
that and would be complimentary to the scene.also I wanted to see if other elements of the image stood out for people
but not!Maybe concentrating on a perticular section would have been better.
The light was indeed crap and I found this quite difficult
to get a good vantage point without branches of trees and cars and
sign posts intruding into the frame.anyway there ya go . . . learned a bit more, thanks.

Well… that may be true but to quote yourself from this thread… viewforum.php?f=11” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
HDR done badly is dreadful – and most of my stuff falls into this category so far.
… I’m wondering are you best qualified to be offering such edits?
Just an opinion of course and I am sure the OP will accept your apology once he has had sufficient time to mourn.
Best Regards,
Dick
Edit – spelling correction :)
bingbongbiddleyParticipantI’d have o agree with JB here, although perhaps not quite as harshly. ;)
The car is a definite distraction. It looks out of place and the fact that the car is partially obstructed by the wall makes it even worse.
Also, I think the crop is too tight as already stated. The building look squashed into the picture – I’d like to see more space around it.
Nicer light would improve this too – a bit of side lighting would give the structure more depth.
I think a higher perspective would help too, this particular view could be improved.
I’m pretty much repeating what has been said already but hopefully this is somewhat constructive.
…and the HDR is horrible (that’s not meant to be constructive). :)
