JB7, what I do is just get the neg’s developed with no contact sheet/cd/prints etc and then just scan them in with my Epson 4490. Unfortunately I don’t have access to a darkroom at the moment, so all prints are digitally printed on Fujifilm archive paper.
Sorry Johnny, I would have to say that I’m not a huge fan of this one. The fog I like, and enjoy the way it limits how far we can see into the scene.
However, with the Holga images I have seen, I think it is very easy to slip into the trap of thinking anything looks good shot this way. The first shot in the ‘something for wendy’ section of your site is exceptional, but with this particular image I feel that beyond the Holga novelty value, it doesn’t have much to offer in terms of composition or interesting content.
Could it be that as we are all so used to the ‘clean’ feel to digital images, we automatically give ‘different’ images such as this extra value which they don’t necessarily warrant in an attempt to sound ‘arty?’
