Jenny,
I adore this photo. I love the contrast between the character of the building from those around it. Great shot!
shutterbugParticipantThank you very much Dan, I am pleased you like it, it is one of
my favourites too!PeteWMemberLoving this image, the contrast, both tonally, and in subject (old brick -vs- new glass) and the addition of local transport.
Almost looks like a Lego set

shutterbugParticipantfguihenParticipantthats a lovely image, id kill for half the sharpness you got in this image. all in camera or was much sharpening done in processing? if so, how do you keep the graininess down?
shutterbugParticipantThank you very much, I don’t sharpen at all just clarity contrast and exposure with adjustments to
Highlights and shadows, using Lightroom 5 At the moment and find it really simple and straight
forward to use.loustalotphotographyParticipantJust to be picky on an excellent work : on my screen I have more road on the bottom of the photograph that room on the top, resulting in a slightly cropped sign and building. While the latter is the subject and you tried to show it all, I would have balanced the composition differently.

Thanks for the comments, I was a bit restricted with the crop, mainly down to bad composition in camera and
Having no tripod, it was really just a grab shot leaning against a lamppost, so I had to rotate it to get it straight
hence the tight crop on the top. If I returned and tried it properly it probably wouldn’t turn out as I would want
anyway!
