The Aliens Have Landed…. Took this pic of my Nephew ben outside the alien museum today in Gruyere in Switzerland. Unfortunately cameras were not allowed inside cos the place was mind blowing…..As always lads have a good cut off it if you see a way to improve let me know…
the aliens have landed by jakiky, on Flickrjodal1975Participantlovely shot , its a great “pose” by your nephew and he is really staring through the camera. i like the contrast of his blue jeans against the other muted colours … and ofcourse the very interesting poster above!! one thing , the drainpipe on the right ( which i think you were right not to clone out because of the verticals and also the extra splash of black) and the top of the poster are slightly askew ….as if the building is on a slight curve or just going away from you right side. i was going to suggest doing something with the perspective tool but then i noticed that the bottom of the seat looks fine , so maybe changing perspective would mess that up ??(my photoshop skills are minimal) . none the less a very nice shot . also i apologise for being so pernickity :-) i have viewed many of your photos and am well aware of the quality of all your work compared to the very amateurish stuff i have posted ….but just my thoughts …:-) i’d love to go to switzerland!
snaphappyMemberCheers jodal would you believe its not a poster in the backround its an aluminium replica of a gun its an amazing piece of work the whole building is mind blowing inside and out. I hear you about the askew lines and had a cut at straightening them but it just didnt look natural as it is my own son was sitting on the bench next to him and I have cloned him out and I can tell you that took a while grrrrrrrrrr. Cheers again for the feedback.
justaguyParticipantshutterbugParticipantI was going to say the “poster” looks very 3D  I love it as has been mentioned
the little splash of colour that his jeans make really makes it. I wish I could sit like that :lol:Charles ONeillParticipantgreat shot. I was there and longed for an hour by myself to take photographs inside.. As for the bar ! HR Giger.. Brilliant.
snaphappyMemberTell me about it Charles and the mad thing is that some of the painting were done 50 years ago yet the machines and spaceships still look so futuristic showing technology of today I was completely taken away by it. there were some other stunning artworks above in the chateau Gruyere
MajconParticipantJust wondering how you get the black frame on your photos? Really adds something to an already great photo!
