At the end of a shoot today for one of my auto portraits the fella decided to entertain my young lad by pullin a few dounts in the car park which went down really well as he was quite bored watchin daddy take photos lol.
May i also add that this was on private property and not in a public carpark !!
Comments welcome :)
Alan RossiterParticipantTwo very strong images there Ricky. The processing on the second one is excellent – contrasty but dark colours. Is there an element of the draganiser effect in this one? I’m also assuming you added the motion blur in the first?
I’ll have to try something like this (the processing, not the leaving of expensive rubber behind you).
Alan.
RGH_PhotographyMemberYeah i added a bit of extra blur on the first one as it wasnt enough to satisfy me on the original shot. There is no draganiser effect or any other pre made actions they are processed using my own custom settings.
The first one was actully done using the saved settings from the causeway image i posted a few weeks ago but with a few tweeks. I call the second one the Top Gear effect as they always use heavy grad filters when producing the show.

Funnily enough I noticed that yesterday when the young lad had it on. Yeah, I’ve a fair idea what you’ve done with this apart from the grad. I’ll give it a go.

jb7ParticipantRobMemberLittle LadyParticipantDeeboParticipantQuality images, really look forward to checking your new posts. The first one is a cracker and love the sun and the reflections on the bonnet.
Great work
DeePeteMcDMemberI really thought you’d panned the first one – esp after your previous posts about getting the motion blur look. That can only be a good thing.
These are good. The processing works well.
Perhaps you could make the car look even more sideways by shooting from the other side – showing off the opposite lock. But you’d lose the smoke – which looks great. 6 of one, half a dozen t’other…
The context of the second one is good – the sky is perfect. Though, the position/angle of the drift could be improved. That said, I bet he is very pleased with these. The general feel/look/atmosphere is very good. And my nit picks are exactly that – nit picks.
