I’m not sure if this constitutes a landscape exacly…more Urban Landscape I suppose.

I took this as part of my 365 Project which I started this month. It’s a 15 second exposure which, combined with the snow, gave our local green a stange surreal quality I think.

    Hi Robbie,

I’m not sure how I missed this.
I miss the “… Posts since last visit…” option.

I really like the look of this for some reason.
Theres lots going on and the clouds are really nice.
It does have a surreal look.

Is the foreground desaturated or is this the way it turned out?

Either way I think it’s nice.

    John.

    Thanks John :-)

It came out with a very strong yellow cast which I toned down as much as possible using the Hue/Saturation layer tool. I think once you go for long exposures like that White Balance pretty much goes out the window ;-)

I’m happy with how it turned out in the end anyway..makes a pretty ordinary scene look so unusual :-)

I like all the technical elements here, the minor quibble I have is that I can’t read the words, but I’m not sure if you could have gotten around this.

Mine eyes are like that of a moth Robbie…drawn to the lights. Never-the-less I like the image does have a sinister feel…almost like you were viewing an area from a distance behind the security of the sign and bushes…you probably are in reality but it gives it that feeling.

So, how are you finding the 365 project so far???

    Hi Robbie

I have come back to this shot several times now….but its hard to say what draws me to the shot, i like the placement of the sign, the movement in the clouds and find the bright lights in the background distracting :-) .. .but the thing is.. .. i still keep coming back to this shot…

    Well done

    Niall
