I just plain cheated and stuck up some remote strobes where I wanted them. SFA PS work in either of these 2 shots.

(SFA = Sweet F* All )Very very nice Merv. Terrific lighting as mentioned, and good to
have subjects who aren’t too camera shy. The second could do with
a tiny bit more space to the left possibly as the drummers eye is
quite close to the edge of the frame. Nice movement in the canes
there….Rob.
Love the first one. I agree that it would work well as a poster. Stunning pic.
However there’s something in #2 that makes me think his neck is arkward. Maybe it’s just me!
