While the light is indeed golden, the houses just aren’t that interesting as a subject, and the sky is quite drab. I’m also not sure about the inclusion of the dark bit of land in the right of the image. I think it would have been better to move left to avoid it, if possible. It also looks like the image is a bit soft as well.
Sorry to be so negative. It looks like you got some great conditions with the still water and the light, but if I were you, I’d seek out a more interesting subject the next time around.
