Photo of one of the drivers I work with…One of those random shots you like… :)

Shutter speed was 1/160 of a sec, Aperture, f/7.1 100iso.

Post processing consisted of shadow/highlight, mass dodge and burn, desat yellows and reds, followed by smart sharpen.

    Smashing shot :)

You have a very distinctive look and feel to your shots.. this one just feels the same as the other two portraits of the old guy in the pub. Once again… great shot.

Definitely a nice shot. Although whatever that white thing is on the window (not the reflection of his shirt), it’s really distracting. Great expressiveness in the eyes though.

    Thanks!

Might crop off a bit to the left so?

    You think?

Yeah, a square crop might be the killer ingredient for this shot.

I really like the crop :)… I love the photograph :D .. and i think you captured “something” very unique, especially in the eyes, they’re so clear and warm …

Is it a bit too sharp ? :)

Lol, it’s very sharp, but I like that!

I did a lot of shots of people, and softening out their complexions…But I love this ultra hard reality look…

    Now…Croppy croppy…See what happens!

I like the sharpness too, but just as long as you only use it on the boys!!

I’m going to chip in with another vote for a square crop. First thing I thought when I saw it. I like the emphasis on the blues and greens here.

How’s that? Added a bit of Reduce Noice because of the closer crop.

Lol, Julie, I would NEVER use it on a lady… Life wouldn’t be worth living as I found out the first and last time!!! ;)

This shot makes me smile – so heart warming and genuine. Love the little catch lights in the eyes and the lighting. The reflection is a bit distracting but definitely not enough to take away from me liking the shot. Well done. :)

You know what I reckon the shot worked better uncropped. I think if you had both photos mounted and framed side by side the first would be a better composition. Just an opinion :)

Hmmm… Maybe. I like the first. It has an environment, and I think his eye’s catch the viewers, but the background is fitting… But I also like how tight the cropped version is…hmm… Lol!
