Ross, I know you love to get involved and create a big fuss, but maybe you could PM me rather than take over the thread? I notice you haven’t provided much feedback either.
Not worthy of a response.
Strange that you responded then.
Baz, I have PM’d you.thebazMemberapology accepted — didn’t experience homelessness for long , my life went out of control for awhile , and it ain’t a nice place to be , when all around you people seam to be getting more affluent — thats what the image struck me off , people leaving work and going out for the night , while this normal looking man is reduced to begging , i believe it can happen to anyone — i have sice stopped drinking , and use photography as a tool in my recovery .
Finally , as regards photographing the less fortunate , they make much better subject to photograph than normal happy people, in my mind . I have an image from today in baggott street of an old man in a wheelchair , looking miserable . is it appropriate to upload , i suppose its a moral question for me , or any other photographers interested in photographing the less fortunate and different.
MarkKeymasterRoss,
This is between Steve and Baz. Steve has apologised both via PM and in the post (before ur post) so no further comment is required.
Ali is correct the comments are no relevant to the critique, leave it at that or PM me, but leave it out of Baz’z thread. Now back to critique :)
SANCHOMemberyeah guys come on, we’re all friends here, there’s no need for bitching. We’re here for our love of photography, let’s keep it to just that eh.

This is between Steve and Baz.Am I supposed to ignore Steve’s snide, crass remarks to me?
PI Rules:
Good manners
Be courteous to the other membersthebazMemberback to the photograph , i will convert it to B & W tonight, to see if it brings out more impact.
joe_elwayParticipantMaybe a crop will help the shot. There’s a huge amount of blown out sky on the right. Maybe crop tight on that said and then crop on the left to balance it some but still leave some space on that side?
Not Pete the blokeParticipantBaz, here is a link to an excellent shot of Ciarans, of a homeless boy on the street. It is very powerful and almost brought tears to my eyes, particularly when I read the bit about him constantly sobbing. It should give you an idea about angles and vierwpoints etc. Definitely worth looking!
