Here’s two of my personal favourite urban shots to date, I took them earlier this year but wanted to share them here. Comments are welcome :)

Really really like the fist one.. its dark, grimy AND its the working mens club !! … how much more urban can it get .:) there is something about it I find intrigueing.

For both images I used a similar processing style. I merged a B&W, Colour and Sepia layer with the B&W and Sepia layers at reduced opacity. And of course some more contrast.
Really like the processing, i’m trying to get a style together that works and that will keep my b/w consistent. I was all over the place for a while.

The second shot is really great, I love it to bits, it has that sort of “leading” quality which I love. The first one doesn’t really do anything for me, I think I might like it more if there was more space between the vertical elements of the shot; as it stands, I find it pretty crowded.

Love the first one.
Very well controlled composition. Its clear that you’ve carefully considered what you want in and what you don’t want. It has a lot of atmosphere and the processing works really well. To my eye, it looks well controlled and makes me want to believe what you’re saying in the image.
