The Eastern Reeks Ridge Walk

    Seeing as there has been some discussion here about the Reeks, I thought I’d post this shot taken on the ridge of the Eastern Reeks early one morning a couple of years ago.

    Basically, to get there, go the top of the Devil’s Ladder and instead of turning right to Carrauntoohill, turn left. And if you set out very early on a spring/summer morning you might just see the clouds burn off in the sun when you get on to the ridge, as here.

    Oh I do like that. Not just a great shot but plenty of effort needed to get there in the first place. Makes a change from the usual images in this section.

    You must of been out early John. It’s certainly paid off as it’s a super shot, exposure throughout the image is first class.

    Super shot ,John. This is one of my favorite shots of the Reeks. I’m going to have a go at this walk, it looks spectacular.

    This is really quite an interesting image. The scale of the heights is quite impressive and those clouds work great here in the image in this context. My compliments.
