The Fiddletown Fiddlers’ Jam

Every year in September, the Fiddlers’ Jam takes place in Fiddletown, an old gold rush town in Northern California. A few weeks ago I was in the gold country visiting the in laws and paid a visit to the festival.

The photos shown here were taken in the living room of a house on the main (only) street in the town where musicians from near and far came to jam.

Really like these Dave, makes me want to sit and listen. Lots of interest in them. Young and old enjoying the music.
I see the owner is also a Beatles fan :)

    Hi,

Can I ask what lens is used, love the DOF!
I am making my mind up to go for a 50mm or 85mm both Canon.

For these photos I used a Voigtländer Nokton Classic 35mm F/1.4.

I probably had the lens wide open (or close to it).

I love the first one. It almost like a scene from The Waltons!
    Beautiful set.
