Dont know much if anything about people photography but i like these. Can decide which one i prefer most because to my eyes they are both really good. Cant suggest anything to improve them. B+W really suits these shots. Have always wondered what these type of shots would look like in moody infrared might be something i will try down the road a bit (your planting seeds in my head). Super shots well done

I hope no crops were trampled in the taking of these photos.

I like the mono. Both these photos are smashing. They could go well with some of Ken’s
stone circle shots. Your model would look suitably druidic. (Is this Ali?)

I’ve just noticed that, even though you mention corn, Ali has her hand on a plant that looks very much like oats.
Perhaps we could have a compo to suggestion alternative names for the first picture? Phnaar Phnaar

I love that second shot, Aid?n!
One for the wall, for sure.

And here was me thinking that you are a wildlife photographer at heart!

    Outstanding shots Aidan.
B&W looks well for both these shots.
Like the pose position in the first picture.

    Thanks RavenAsh and Urszula!

I really learned a lot yesterday from Ali on picking angles, choosing shots, anticipating the model, flash, reflector usage … and then there was the post processing. My head was stuffed with new knowledge. I gotta admit I’m bursting to have another go at this.

2nd one is a classic. I bet it’ll look great printed large. (no reflection on Ali with this!)

I love the concept of people looking into the landscape.

    Aidan,

    These are wonderful!

I thought I was mad as a hatter about the first until I saw the second, then I realised I was crazier about it!

I am just in awe of how well you’ve done on your first attempts at glamour.

I will give credit to Ali for lending her incredible creativity to guide you, but you took the shots, and you got it all right!

    Really beautiful

    :D

(it’s ok to pay me for the props in prints)
