    Its a bit dark in the bush on the left of the shot. Maybe you could get a bit more detail there or else use an overall vignette to balance out the picture but apart from that this is a very nice picture. Looks nice and tells a nice story too.

    cheers brian, this is only my 3rd post and i’m still trying to get used to my camera(and this site), I appreciate the advice.

    Welcome to the site Cumo. Good to see someone else from
    the Royal County joining in the fun. You’re only down the road
    from me…

    As Brian already mentioned your image is a little dark. Your
    depth of field is probably a little too shallow for this type of shot
    too; both the closest part of the foreground and everything in
    the distance is out of focus. Worth revisiting and trying a few
    more shots…

    An interesting fact: The original line from Dublin to Navan,
    all twenty-miles of track, took men with shovels and pickaxes
    two years to build. According to the RPA, we just might,
    with modern construction methods and vehicles, have it reopened
    by 2015! Go figure….
