One from earlier in the year. Comments and suggestions welcome.

This has a lot of potential. :)

I’d do some local-contrast work on the stones to make them sparkle a bit, perhaps darken and colour the sky to a tobacco finish.

Looking forward to seeing the versions of this from the forum members.

    All best

If anybody does a tobacco finish then I will personally be coming round their house with my 400mm.

    That is all

    Andy,

I think a veryyy weak tobacco might work well here. It would match the scene well. I look forward to your frank response on msn later haha!

    Steve,

I’ll find out where you live.

I might even put on my teleconvertor and hit you around the head with my 800mm

brilliant shot, but i have to agree with the darker sky would give the shot more drama and impact, imho.

As to the tobacco colour i just don’t know would have to see, i think the colours of the watter and stones and the blueish of the spray might be lost… Steve if you feel safe with a 800mm coming your way, you might wan’t to give it a try ?!! heheh

Don’t worry, I have a 1000mm baseball bat waiting for him.

Take the image above Andy, and slap an unsharp mask on it at
    50% amount
    150 radius
    15 threshold

Doesn’t need anything else IMHO, cracking shot.

Nobody has mentioned my bendy banana horizon,

    Shame on you all.

But seriously, thanks for the comments folks. I’ll give that sharpening trick a try for sure. Not sure about the tobacco suggestion, I might politely suggest that allinthemind puts it in his pipe and smokes it!!

Tobacco refers to a reddish/brown coloured grad filter. Once very popular, now considered naff. I’m with Andy on this one. Get the uzi………..

Doh! I’ve been caught out  Actually I was up at 6am but that post was made at 7:41. I think your GMT settings need to be changed to +1 for British Summer Time :)
