i think the shading on the left is a little too much – it makes the right look a bit like it has a slight haze. i get that you’re trying to guide the eye back into the frame but (for me at any rate) it is too obvious.
The tree kinda disappears in the background.
Sometimes the right kind of low yellowish light shining on a tree can make it jump out from the background.
When I saw this I imagined what such light might have done to this image.
Thanks all, and yes I dont see the shading either :-) , other than the light difference. The Wb is deinitely off on this one though . I did lighten the tree slightly just to make it pop but it needs to be isolated better to work I think.. Thanks again
what i meant by shading is that it appears as though there is a distinct fall of in light from the tree to the left edge of the frame, or as though a large circular brush was used to lighten the tree leaving the left of frame significantly darker than the rest….
i can draw a line along it if i may download and re-post?
