Hi all, This is my first ever posting for your good evaluation. Please let me know what you think of it? Please be gentle:-)

Not Pete the blokeParticipant‘Technically’ very competent indeed – with adherence to the rule of thirds and verticals vertical etc! Maybe needs a frame of some sort to aid its presentation, but there is very little to complain about…. :)
Pity the blue sky is so bland, some fluffy white clouds might have added more interest to that part of the image. I think the colours work well, and I like the contrast between the stone rubble and the bricks in the wall.
Great first post!ryan52MemberBrandyman, Thanks for the useful critique, I will try it with a frame also. I must admit I did have to straighten the lampost a bit, Again, Thanks.

PaddyJoeParticipantFlipflipParticipantI like this shot but I think if i was to take it I wouldve shot straight on without including the loose rocks in the middle. Offsetting the lampost to the left slightly.
Just my own personal taste though.
PeteTheBlokeMemberI’m with brandyman, the photo’s sharp and perfectly executed, but it’s a wee bit sterile, somehow. It might even benefit from a weird PS conversion.
richiehatchMemberI really like this shot…. not sure it belongs in the landscape section but regardless… its nice and sharp good colours… to me its a very graphic image almost abstract..! The layering in it is nice too. Perhaps if shot head on it would be a bit better… Starck is a word that comes to mind. I agree with flipflip a slight post shift to the left would improve it..! Overall its a really good first image post…! Super stuff
Richie
RobertoMemberI agree with Flip, I would crop the rocks from the bottom and make it more ‘narrow’.
ryan52MemberBrandyman, Paddyjoe, FlipFlip, Pete, Richie, Roberto. Many thanks for the very constructive comments. Really appreciate it. :)
nolongerParticipantThe lightpost feels really flat. Almost underexposed? But the rest of the image seems fine to me, exposure wise. Maybe it’s my monitor. Otherwise, I really like the framing of it, including the rocks.
