The Last Divided Capital City In The World

Nicosia (Lefkosia), in Cyprus, is a fascinating little city. The Turkish side still has tons of poverty near the border, while the Greek side has pretty much been all cleaned up. Here’s two shots of some of the ruined buildings leftover from the war (the war was in 1974, mind you):
