The Lazy Photographers Sunset

Madra RuaParticipant
Nothing special, just the view from my door one evening last week.
I wasn’t going to post this but Martin said it made him sick, so I had to :mrgreen:That day I looked out the window around 9.30 in the evening to see if the sunset might be nice and worth taking a few photos.
But it was a pretty ordinary evening sky, so I didn’t bother taking out the camera – or even leaving the house. However, when I looked again half an hour later it was a different story.
I walked about 30 metres from my door for this shot :lol:This is Dublin Port. On the left you can see the redeveloped Point Depot and the cranes at the new Point Village where Ireland’s first sky scraper (120m) is being build.

latchikoParticipantjb7ParticipantGreat sky alright-
Also good to see an unashamedly urban picture in this section-j
cathaldParticipantStunning colours Hauke and i think the cranes and building works add to the image
Cathal
lousyParticipantNo PS eh!- There’s some lovely colour there Hauke and lovely to have it on your doorstep.
Pat
RGH_PhotographyMemberI really like this shot and with no filters or post production it makes it all the more special.

Couldn’t agree more. Lovely landscape, brilliant sky…
Rob.
Madra RuaParticipantThanks guys, but it’s really just a snap I took in my slippers :D
I did expect to see tons of shots from the spectacle that evening here.
MartinParticipantYea super shot, one of my favorites from you in a while, really well done
M
mgstParticipantGfoxParticipantIts very hard to get a decent sunset shot in and around the city.. Well done..
ExpresbroParticipantFantastic shot Hauke… Chile..Dublin..all the same to you..you know how to produce great looking shots!!
I love how the sky kind of sweeps down from the top left hand corner to the bottom left…draws your eye right across the picture.
Not bad for a slipper shot at all…
aoluainParticipantthere is something about this shot that makes me look at it longer than
maybe i should . . . that is i love it.I y=think a sky like this is not usually seen in an urban themed pic . . .
it works brilliant though.
kenhParticipantGreat shot Hauke, with the reflections the main stand-out feature for me!
