Just came across a nice one for somebody who is starting out and wishes to know more on lighting and studio lighting in particular. The Lighting Cookbook by Jenni Bidner is worth taking a look at. It deals in a simple, yet effective way with lighting for glamour, portrait, still life, corporate, theatrical, environmental & location photography. Loads of helpful, handy “recipes” and lots of lighting and studio terms and jargon explained.
I agree Gerry. Got that book and it’s very good. Uses illustrations to show how various shots were set up in the studio.
