The Long Pause…/….Paws

Super shot Sinead, conversion is excellent and love the pose of Jess, her legs look around 2 foot long from this angle, almost as if there stretched, my guy would never pose for me like this, he would rather get his teeth on the end of the lens and not give it back thinking it was the game we were playing

irishshaguaParticipantvery nice. Love the harsh black and white conversion. Your dog certainly suits it perfectly. Am torn between whether I love the eyes or hate them. The emptiness of them in this shot is definitely a real story but I alsways like to see a little bit more of the eyes so I’m not sure which way to go on that subject. But overall a very nice shot.

DenverDollParticipanthahaha~~
That is soooo good!
The conversion in my opinion is perfect for this!
Those paws are fabulous..makes you just want to reach out and take her by the hands yeah!
Absolutely love this..would definitely print and frame~~~

nfl-fanParticipantClass shot and a great conversion. Made me “ha ha” too…
Any particular method for the conversion???
jessthespringerParticipantMartin.. I was surprised she stayed still for so long, tried to take some of her nose but she just kept licking the lens. She has a thing about licking glass, she is forever licking Cathals glasses!
Brian, iso was pretty high on this one, lost a bit of detail. Maybe she suits b&w conversions cause she is a b&w dog.. lol
Sharon, gonna get it printed tomorrow, this is one of my favorites of her so far.. Her paws are pretty big even without the wide lens!
nfl, can’t remember exactly, but something like this I think. Lightroom presets, B&W (cant remember if it was high or low contrast) if it’s high contrast on something like this with loads of white exposure might need bringing down a bit. Used some fill light to get back some detail in the eyes. Then LR preset.. punch.
Move to CS3, apply image (multiply blending) and adjusted the levels. I think LR is the business!!Sinead.
nfl-fanParticipantjessthespringerParticipantNo problem, thats the second time this week someone has asked me how I did something in PS
Which makes me laugh to myself, 6 months ago I hardly knew how to open an email :oops:Off I go now with my head so big I can’t get out the door!!
nfl-fanParticipantT’is good to share… and always nice when someone asks. Nothing worse than the sneaky gits who’ll tell ya nothing!
jessthespringerParticipantI don’t see the point in not telling.. We are all learning, I have asked heaps of questions here and everyone always seems happy to help.
BrickeeParticipantI like your long leggged pooch Jess,
and appericate the info.
I also see no point in not shareing, as said were all here to learn.Jim
nfl-fanParticipantT’is only the odd time people speak of ‘secrets’ but it does happen. 99% of the time people are more than dying to help out which is brill.
